Dear Emily -
Time moves too fast. I want to be able to capture every day with you, and stop time - just for a moment, just a moment longer - and take in everything about you all over again. Every day you grow and change, making new progresses that leave me so proud. You're now walking almost everywhere, although when crawling you do so pretty fast! You've learned a few sign language words that have left me bouncing in excitement and emailing your father to share such pride with him. The most adorable one, which you are very proud of, is the sign for "more". Your little pincher fingers come together and tap while your adorable little eyes grin :)
As I feel such deep love and pride for you, I think of your dad. Not a day goes by I don't think him in my heart, and look forward to when you're ready to spend more time with him and he's able to watch you, hold you, curl up with you and feel the pride and love I feel for you... with you up against him :) You are amazing Emily, so amazing.
Tonight I was talking on the phone with a friend who struggled with trying to conceive her twins for many years. While we chatted, you fell asleep with your head on my shoulder. I stroked your hair and forhead, giving you kisses occasionally, and just looking at you.... wow.... you're my daughter! I love you so much.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring, what new progress you'll make. Every day you show something new :)
